As you can imagine, this is a really controversial choice of red carpet fashion in more ways than one. Luciano Silighini Garagnani, an Italian filmmaker, was in attendance at the Venice Film Festival and while there, he shockingly decided to defend none other than the most well-known person of the #MeToo movement – Harvey Weinstein.
The way Garagnani went about that move was by putting on a ‘Weinstein Is Innocent’ T-shirt.
The man posed proudly on the red carpet at the premiere of Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Suspiria.’
Other big names that were at the glamorous event were Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Alek Wek, Cate Blanchett, Chloe Grace Moretz and Mia Goth.
Garagnani, on the other hand, was dressed pretty casually in a pair of faded jeans, sneakers and a blazer he wore over the home-made shirt supporting Weinstein.

The T-shirt showed a picture of the disgraced producer and argued in favor of his innocence.
But the Italian filmmaker was not the only one who seemed to think like that that.
Actor Paolo Riva was next to him and smiled big while pointing at the shirt in a ridiculous pose.
All in all, the whole thing seemed like a silly PR stunt, sure to grab people’s attention and make headlines.
And it seems like Alberto Barbara, Venice fest’s chief, agrees as he told Deadline that the whole thing was just a really ‘stupid move.’
Garagnani made sure to take as many pics as he could while his staff patiently waited for him.
The man’s beliefs, both political and social were already pretty controversial as he is a supporter of Silvio Berlusconi and even donated to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
What do you think about the filmmaker’s PR stunt?
