By 1970, he had a role in the Raquel Welch film Myra Breckenridge . The role proved to be the launch of a successful film and television career that has lasted more than three decades.
Tom Selleck became a household name after starring in the eighties television series Magnum P.I. Other notable television credits include B.L. Stryker that he executively produced and The Closer that he executively produced, and starred in playing Jack McLaren. Tom then made headlines playing Dr. Richard Burke on Friends , a series that he said he thoroughly enjoyed working on and appeared on four episodes of Boston Legal playing Ivan Tiggs. It was in 2010 that Tom Selleck returned to lead the CBS hit television series Blue Bloods that has been on the air for a decade.
His movie credits include Three Men and a Baby, High Road to China, and Quigley Down Under .
He's also become known for his television movies Jesse Stone that he stars in playing the titular character and executively produces. He has another Jesse Stone movie in the works and fans can't wait.
