Yes, yes, you heard/read that well! Lady Gaga is back with a great song! To shut up those who gossiped that she was forever out of the branch, she has just released a new song. It is in fact the lea single from her future studio album, which would be the fifth one. The song was launched on September 9 under the label of Interscope Records. Though the sound doesn’t seem to appeal to everybody, many people declared that they felt the lyrics going straight to their hearts.
Fans claim that Lady Gaga got some “inspiration” from Taylor Swift and made this song about her recent break-up with Taylor Kinney. Almost two months ago, she and her boyfriend surprisingly cancelled their engagement. And now, if you have a closer look at the lyrics of her song, you will see that they may be a hint to her personal life situation.

“It wasn’t love” could clearly be a reference to this. If we were to take the lyrics as they are, it seems that neither of the two partners reserved enough time for each other: “Trying to get control/ Pressure’s taking its toll/ Stuck in the middle one/ I just want you alone.”
However, the singer herself gave some clarifications on what lyrics mean. She explained that social media is a dangerous field that makes people feel under pressure to keep the perfect illusion they find on the Internet in their personal lives too. And this happens despite the fact that they know all the illusions are filtered and altered. This is quite a deep message from the singer, especially since social media has taken over the world in the last years.
Even the very explanations she offered might be seen as a connection to the background of the song, namely her separation from Taylor Kinney.
