Gwen Stefani is gaining a few extra pounds amid rumors that she is trying to have a baby with Blake Shelton. Inside sources claim the singer has been eating a high-calorie diet because she read about how heavier women have an easier time getting pregnant. We’re not sure if science backs up the strategy, but it sounds like Stefani is doing whatever it takes to have Shelton’s baby.
“Gwen is going all-out to pack on the pounds and she’s having a ton of fun in the process,” the source dished. “Her rule book’s gone out the window and she’s been stuffing her face with things she wouldn’t usually touch, like cheese doodles, French fries and ice cream.”
According to Radar Online, the insider added that Stefani has been eating healthy foods as well, but at the end of the day, she’s consuming anything that will add weight to her small frame. The idea that Stefani is scarfing down junk food is ironic given how she recently scolded Shelton for doing the same thing. But if it makes it easier to get pregnant, more power to her.
Shelton and Stefani have been dating since the fall of 2015. With their romance going strong, the two allegedly tried IVF treatments to conceive their first. So far, the two have failed to have a baby together, though they obviously aren’t willing to quit just yet. While Stefani does her part to have Shelton’s baby, insiders claim that he recently got permission from her parents to marry her.

Prior to dating Shelton, Stefani was married to Gavin Rossdale for well over a decade. The couple had three children over the course of their marriage: Apollo, Kingston, and Zuma. Shelton has been married twice but does not have any kids of his own.
This is not the first time Shelton and Stefani have faced pregnancy rumors. In fact, similar stories about Stefani getting pregnant and planning her wedding surfaced last year, so fans should take these reports with a grain of salt. Shelton and Stefani have not addressed the pregnancy rumors and likely won’t until she is ready to start a family with the country crooner.
