Back in September, Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent announced her engagement to movie producer Randall Emmett, and now the couple is planning a secret engagement party. According to Radar Online, they have sent out white and gold invitations for a December 15th bash at Avenue nightclub in Hollywood.
“Please join us for an engagement party celebrating Randall + Lala,” reads the invitations.
Emmett, 46, proposed to Kent, 28, during their vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where they celebrated her birthday at the Esperanza An Auberge Resort. Kent told People Magazine that the weekend was amazing for both of them, and it was the most romantic moment of her life. She added that every detail was a surprise and left her in shock.

Sometimes I get too caught up in my own world, forgetting what real life is. It’s moment like this that free my soul. Forgetting about what I want or need & putting focus and love into anyone who isn’t me. 50 turkeys and 100 and something cans of Thanksgiving goodness, later, we helped feed the homeless in some small way. The homeless shelter in Palm Springs is projected to feed 6,000 people for Thanksgiving. Thank you to everyone who is giving back. Y’all mean something in this world. Let’s remember to forget about ourselves this season. God bless you and yours♥️
“I immediately started to think I can’t wait to tell my parents we are engaged! I looked up in the sky at that exact moment, and saw one bright star gleaming,” she said.
Kent and Emmett kept their relationship a secret for two years, but this past January they finally revealed they were dating. Emmett was still legally married when they met, but Kent has defended their controversial relationship, saying the Lone Survivor producer and his ex-wife were legally separated at the time.
“Well, when I met Rand, he had a legal separation, so I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong,” Kent has said.
Emmett’s divorce from actress Ambyr Childers became final in December 2017, and the former couple shares two children.
Kent’s dad passed away earlier this year, but Emmett did ask for his blessing shortly before he died. Kent says that Emmett asking for permission was an incredible gift because she lost her dad so suddenly. She also believes that her dad was with them in spirit on the night she and Emmett got engaged, and that makes her even happier.

Kent didn’t mention Emmett’s name on VPR until the recent Season 7 premiere. Before then, she spent her time defending “her man.” The rumors of their relationship swirled for a while, and her castmates were fully aware of what was going on. They ended up ostracizing her from their group and calling her a “gold digger” and “homewrecker.”
The couple kept their relationship a secret because they wanted to protect Emmett’s privacy while he went through his divorce. And, she pushed through those tough times with her castmates, and now they are all closer than ever.
