Inside 'Grey's Anatomy' Star Kate Walsh's Brain Tumor Nightmare: 'I Was Not Able To Finish Sentences'
In a new and chilling interview she gave for Cosmopolitan, actress Kate Walsh, most known for her role in Grey’s Anatomy revealed that she struggled with a brain tumor back in 2015. The woman admitted that she was absolutely terrified when the doctors first told her about the massive tumor.
But despite going through a huge shock, she noted that she wasn’t all that surprised considering her hectic lifestyle.
‘The exhaustion got to the point where I’d drink five cups of coffee, and still not feel awake or clear. And then around April, I started having more cognitive difficulties. It felt like aphasia, but it was not just not being able to find words; I would lose my train of thought, I was not able to finish sentences, and that was when I got really alarmed,’ the actress recalled the horrifying symptoms.
Fortunately for Walsh, after getting diagnosed and getting treatment, she took about nine months off and then was able to return to Hollywood.
She shot a new film titled Self and before that she did Girls Trip as well as 13 Reasons Why.
In addition to her film and TV projects, the actress was also part of a play in New York last year.
She realized what is really important to her while going through the health crisis and it turned out that she wanted to spend more time with friends or family, made a difference in society and be part of important movies, shows, and plays, which have a true message.
But most of all, despite returning to Hollywood with a huge bang, and seemingly overworking herself again, in reality, she paced herself more and changed her lifestyle for the better.
