The new suspense film The Mother will star Jennifer Lopez as a lethal assassin, and the streaming service Netflix has debuted the first image of Lopez in her role.

The actress, who is 53 years old and starred in the film Hustlers, plays an assassin who comes out of hiding to safeguard her daughter, whom she had previously given up for adoption.

The preview shows that Lopez's character leads a secluded and secretive existence. Her vacation, which takes place in a remote location surrounded by snowy mountains, is the complete antithesis of the action that is about to take place.

Lopez claims that she needs protection right now, and then a clip of her daughter, Lucy Paez, being stolen by a man is shown. "She needs protection right now," Lopez says.

In a different scene, Lopez and Paez had a conversation while sitting in a booth. She says to her daughter, "You saw who's out there," and adds, "It's going to keep coming."

The movie promises that Lopez would do just about anything to save her daughter, and the setting may be anything from cold mountains to crowded city streets.

In a voice-over, Lopez instructs the audience to come locate her in the event that there is problems.

Joseph Fiennes, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci, and Gael Garcia Bernal also had roles in the film alongside Lopez and Paez.

According to Variety, Hardwick will play an FBI agent, and Raci will play an ally to the character played by Lopez. Both roles will appear in the show. On the other side, Fiennes and Bernal will take on the roles of the deadly individuals who are chasing her daughter.

According to Variety, Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions and Netflix will collaborate on the production of their first feature film, which will be titled "The Mother." As producers, Lopez will be assisted by Elaine Goldsmith Thomas and Benny Medina of Nuyorican Productions, as well as Roy Lee and Miri Yoon of Vertigo Entertainment, Green, and Marc Evans. Additionally, Green will also be a producer alongside Marc Evans. The role of executive producer will be filled by Molly Allen.
