Iggy Azalea Says Only A Select Number Of 'Elite' People In Her Life Can Use Her Real Name - Here's Why!
Iggy Azalea’s birth moniker is Amethyst Amelia Kelly, but, as it turns out, only a very select number of people is allowed to use her real name! This is what the singer revealed during a chat with her fans on Twitter!
‘Only a VERY select group of people are allowed to call me Amethyst. If I let you call me that you're elite. Like, I gotta KNOW you. Like you know my mama level, you know my deep dark secrets and s**t,’ the star let her followers on Twitter know.
After this, one user wondered just how elite the celeb’s inner circle is, prompting Iggy to reply that ‘99% of people in my life call me Iggy and I prefer that except for the 1% that know me that well that it just hits different if they say my real name because it feels cozy. It’s a VERY small number of people who call me by any other name [than Iggy]. I feel like names are really personal and I never wanted strangers to be able to use mine when talking s*** and putting weirdo negative energy on it. Gotta protect your vibe.’
The celeb stressed that she definitely does not mind being called by her stage name, in the slightest!
On the contrary, she dislikes it much more if others use her birth name if they are not in that ‘1 percent’ of closest family members and old friends.
Despite the fact that she doesn’t want most people out there to even use her real name, Iggy has been pretty open about her personal life on social media lately.
Not only did she finally announce she is the mom of a baby boy back in March, she’s also posted a pic of him in the meantime!
Furthermore, just yesterday, she revealed that she’s losing weight rapidly after giving birth and asked her fans for advice and confirmation that it’s not abnormal or dangerous.
