Honey Boo Boo, or Alana Thompson, took to Instagram to fight back against the social-media-haters who say she’s “acting black” on the platform. The 12-year-old Toddlers And Tiara’s star denied the charges and added unique commentary on the matter.
In a post captured by The Shade Room, Honey started her retort with, “let me just tell ya’ll,” before going on to firmly stand her ground. A person in her comment’s section told her to “stop acting Black,” and Honey took issue with the request.
She said, “the last thing I am is black.” Honey parodied the idea of “acting a color” by pointing out that you can’t behave in a manner characterized by the term, “purple.”
The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star joked, “Hm, let’s see! I’m going to be purple.” She went on to say that “you can’t act a color,” but you can be one. For a 12-year-old, she definitely has no trouble standing up for herself.
In other Honey Boo Boo-related news, the reality star admitted she had been struggling on the latest episode of Mama June: From Not To Hot.
The little girl admitted she was lonely and missed her mother, June Shannon, after their separation. The 12-year-old revealed everyone in her family now has boyfriends, and she’s been left behind.
Alana stated Pumpkin is pregnant now, so she doesn’t have time for her. However, Honey does have her three-legged-dog, but that’s the “only ‘person'” she’s got.
As for her father, he’s currently struggling to get more custody and visitation rights so she may get company sometime in the future. He said it “doesn’t make sense” because they look at him as a bad parent even though everyone else in the family is busy with dating.
