Pregnancy is often tough for expectant mothers. While some enjoy being pregnant, others find the process completely consuming, uncomfortable and emotional. Some mamas are in pain more often than not, lack of sleep and feeling sick make it an unpleasant experience for others. Hilary Duff, who’s pregnant with her second child, is opening up about just how truly hard pregnancy can be.
The 30-year-old Younger star recently posted a picture of her bare burgeoning baby bump on Instagram.
The boobs are big the belly is big the body is big. Man.. pregnancy is hard. Giving love to all mamas who make it look effortless… this journey is hard as hell and also incredibly special. Lovely to have a little life inside and to day dream of all the new adventures to come buuuut almost impossible to get my own shoes on..sick of getting up 9 times a night to pee and looking at this weird body in the mirror that is not my own at the moment. Women are so bad ass, this was just a note to remind myself and remind others how’s strong and beautiful you are! WE GOT THIS! ?❤️???✨
In her caption, she eloquently explained why this stage in her life is difficult and arduous.
The body changing to accommodate the growth and flourishing of a baby is quite tremendous when you stop and think about it.
What women have to go through is truly extraordinary.
While Duff feels so deeply blessed to be housing a new little life, she doesn’t pretend that the struggles aren’t present.
She admits to having trouble putting on her own shoes.
She admits to hating how often she has to get up during the night to pee.
She admits to having a tough time looking in the mirror sometimes to be greeted by a body that she doesn’t recognize that is changing all the time.
Ushering in a brand new life is difficult and strenuous and it takes so much energy and time.
Duff and her boyfriend Matthew Koma are expecting a baby girl. Duff already has a son, Luca, from a previous marriage.
Luca was quite surprised by the news, admitted Duff, but says that her son is definitely warming up to the idea of a baby sister.
Duff has managed to be virtually scandal and drama free throughout her career, despite being in the business since she was a young child. She’s widely known for the role of Lizzie McGuire she played when she was a kid.
