Adding a new baby to the family is never an easy decision and in Hilary Duff’s household, there’s one person who is taking issue with the soon coming arrival of a baby sister—her six-year-old son, Lucas. Duff starred on Disney’s Emmy-nominated series Lizzie McGuire from 2001-2004 and was beloved by children across the country. After leaving the series she embarked upon a singing career and in 2009 appeared on Gossip Girl and The Chase. In 2015, she landed the role of Kelsey Peters on TV Land’s Younger.
On Monday, the 30-year-old stopped by Today and discussed the soon-to-be addition to her family. She’s also provided updates and photos on her social media accounts including Instagram.
Hilary Duff and her first husband Mike Comrie are the parents of six-year-old Luca. Hilary Duff is expecting her second child with her partner Matthew Koma.
You may see an interview with Hilary Duff and Today’s Dylan Dreyer in the video player below.
Though Hilary Duff didn’t reveal her exact due date, she made it clear that the baby is due soon and she and Matthew are ready for the baby to be born.
In a recent Instagram post, Hilary is seen showing her baby bump, while posing in front of a mirror. She captioned the post “Babbbby, hurry it on up, damnit.”
E! previously reported that the couple is overjoyed they are having a girl. It was only when Hilary stopped by Today that anyone had an inclination not everyone in the family is thrilled.
During her interview with Dylan Dreyer, Hilary spoke about being happy that school is back and described Luca as being “on the fence” about the arrival of his sister.
“He’s on the fence, but I think that everything will be fine when she arrives.”
It’s unclear when Hilary’s due date is, but while she’s taking time with her new baby, fans can look forward to seeing her in the upcoming movie The Haunting of Sharon Tate.
Hilary Duff will portray Sharon Tate who was viciously murdered along with her unborn son by the Charles Manson family cult.
Duff will also continue to star in Younger as the show has been renewed for a sixth season.
