Christina Applegate, who played the bleached-blonde airhead beauty on Married With Children, celebrates her 46th birthday on November 25, 2017. The actress turned breast cancer activist has survived several health issues and has undergone a double mastectomy and had her ovaries, and fallopian tubes removed due to testing positive for the BRCA gene.
Though Christina Applegate has consistently worked since her childhood years, she is also a breast cancer activist and founded the foundation Right Action For Women that provides much needed financial assistance to women who can’t afford MRI screenings. She may currently be seen on the silver screen in A Bad Moms Christmas.
Christina Applegate’s mother is actress Nancy Priddy who played Elizabeth Perry in the movie Jaws of Satan. At 10-years-old, Christina made her film debut playing her mother’s character’s daughter on screen. Christina played the role of Kim Perry in Jaws of Satan.
Christina’s acting career thrived and later that year she appeared on the television series Father Murphy and in the movie Beatlemania. In 1983, she played a young Grace Kelly in the eponymous made-for-television movie.
The next year she made a guest appearance on the series Charles in Charge. Her acting career continued to gain momentum and in 1985 she was on the series Washingtoon and Still the Beaver. Appearances on Silver Spoons and Amazing Stories followed.
It was 1987 that would see Christina Applegate become a household name. She appeared on the series Heart of the City and Family Ties before landing the role of Kelly Bundy on Married with Children. It was the Fox network’s first scripted show and it was huge.
Christina was on the show for 10 years and taped 258 episodes.
Christina went on to star in several more television series including Jesse, Samantha Who, and Up All Night. She’s also appeared in many successful movies including Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead, Bad Moms, A Bad Moms Christmas, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Though Christina has her hands full with her daughter and career, she still has time to run her charitable organization Right Action For Women.
