Halsey was definitely not happy to hear the things said about her on social media. The singer took to her platform yesterday, to address some accusations that she uses the LGBTQ community as nothing more than a ‘marketing strategy.’

She posted a pic showing her on stage, taken during her concert in Brazil, and in the caption, Halsey wrote: ‘peak bi gurl evolution.’

This referred to the fact that in the split image, she was holding her mic on one side, while the other pictured her holding the rainbow flag.

As you can imagine, a lot of her fans praised Halsey for bringing the community more into the spotlight but, as it turns out, one user had a different opinion about the post.

From their point of view, Halsey was only using the LGBTQ community.

‘Rainbow is the new marketing strategy,’ their comment read.

The singer, who identifies as bisexual, went ahead and replied: ‘There's been a flag in my show for 5 years. You are just not paying attention you whiny little baby.’

After the exchange, even more fans flooded her comment section, defending and praising the star.

Here are a couple: ‘Plus you are a part of the community so how is that a strategy. Have they not heard your songs wtf.’ / ‘baby girlll this is a troll because real Halsey fans know you are a bi goddess.’

This comes after Halsey also showed support to Taylor Swift amid her war with Scooter Braun.

She wrote in part: ‘Taylor Swift is a huge reason why I always insisted on writing my own music. But it turns my guts that no matter how much power and/or success a woman may have in life, you're still susceptible to somebody making you feel powerless just out of spite. It speaks volumes to how far we've to come in the music industry.’
