During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show today, Wednesday, May 23rd, Gwyneth Paltrow, the ex-girlfriend of Brad Pitt, told the story of her interaction with Harvey Weinstein over twenty years ago. Following Weinstein’s sexual advance toward her, her boyfriend of the time, Brad Pitt, confronted him when Paltrow was just 22-years-old.
According to the actress, after she signed on to starring roles in “Shakespeare in Love” and “Emma,” The Weinstein Company founder supposedly tried to coerce her into going into a hotel room with him to give him a “massage.”
When Paltrow said that to her boyfriend of the time, Brad Pitt, he confronted Weinstein and said, “if you ever make her uncomfortable again, I’ll kill you.”
Paltrow said the entire incident with Harvey had her “shaken.” It was like the equivalent of “throwing him against the wall.” At the time, Pitt had significant star power as an actor.
It was the main reason why he could stand up to Harvey because a lesser-known actor would never be able to talk to him like that. It would ruin his career for life.

Paltrow said her boyfriend-of-the-time “leveraged his fame and power” to defend her and she adores him for that. However, she worried that Weinstein would fire her after Pitt took him on face-to-face.
To make matters worse, Harvey supposedly screamed at her for a long time afterward and expected her to keep the incident a “secret.” “It was brutal,” the actress remarked. However, it all worked out in the end because it appears as though the executive is ostracized for life.
As you may know, Weinstein has denied all of the accusations without question and says all of his relationships were consensual. According to Piers Morgan, Harvey is in an institution in Arizona and Morgan finds him fascinating because the embattled producer “actually thinks he’ll make a comeback.”
