Gwen Stefani’s wedding to Blake Shelton is sure to be an emotional affair. Their romance started during challenging times, but the two are now heading towards marital bliss. While Stefani preps for the day she exchanges vows with the country crooner, she is reportedly giving her sons a big role for the wedding.
Inside sources claim that Stefani wants her three kids to step into the spotlight for the ceremony. The No Doubt alum shares three sons – Kingston, Zuma and Apollo – with her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale.
A source says that Stefani wants all three of them to be ring bearers. The boys reportedly love Shelton and could not be more excited about him becoming their stepfather.
According to Life & Style, Stefani does not want an extravagant wedding. Instead, the pop star wants a casual ceremony with her close friends and family.
“She’s calling the wedding ‘fancy but casual,” the insider dished. “She wants the kids running around and the day to be all about family.”
Although Stefani and her boys are thrilled about the wedding, her former husband is not happy about the big plans. Rossdale is reportedly concerned about Shelton’s relationship with his sons and feels like he is being replaced as their father. Rossdale has not commented on the wedding rumors.
Shelton has developed a strong bond with Stefani’s kids ever since they started dating in 2015. Between flying them around in helicopters to taking them hiking and fishing on his ranch in Oklahoma, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo seem happy whenever they are with Shelton.
We do not know how Rossdale will handle the wedding, but we can only hope that he gets over his issues before Shelton and Stefani tie the knot.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have not released any details about their wedding plans. The pair started dating in 2015, shortly after Stefani’s divorce and Shelton’s split with Miranda Lambert.
