It’s been over two years since Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton started their unexpected romance, and they have been going strong since the beginning. The two recently took some time out to stroll down the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and the couple is happier than ever.
Stefani looked stunning in a white bikini top, a black net sarong, and a beige sweater, while Shelton wore a blue trucker hat, board shorts, a button-down shirt, and crocs.
During their romantic walk, the couple ran into Luke Bryan, and Shelton gave him a playful kiss on the cheek as they chatted with the country superstar and two of his friends.
Stefani and Shelton were in Mexico because the 41-year-old performed with Bryan and Sam Hunt at the Crash My Playa four-day concert event. Fans went wild when Stefani stepped into her boyfriend’s set and interrupted the Boys ‘Round Here singer to kiss him.
When the couple isn’t spending romantic time on the beach, they often travel to Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma where Stefani’s sons Kingston, 11, Zuma, 9, and Apollo, 3, enjoy time on his giant piece of land. Shelton says that it has been a lot of fun for him to expose the boys to life in the country.
Stefani loves the influence Shelton has had on her boys and has become a prominent father figure in their life. He loves her kids very much and talks about them all the time.
An insider revealed that Shelton is devoted to Stefani and their life together, and even though he was heartbroken after his split from Miranda Lambert, he believes everything happens for a reason.
The amazing relationship with Stefani that came out of his divorce has made him happy, and they eventually would like to start a family together.
In an interview over the holidays, Stefani revealed that Shelton is her best friend and she is having a lot of fun. She also said she is on a good run right now and feels extremely blessed.
As for Lambert, she recently made a dig at Shelton during opening night of her new Livin’ Like Hippies tour. Her 2015 hit song Little Red Wagon features the outdated line “I live in Oklahoma,” but when it was time for her to sing the line she changed it to, “I got the hell out of Oklahoma.”
While the two were married, Shelton and Lambert shared the Oklahoma home that he now enjoys with Stefani and her boys. Lambert kept the couple’s Nashville property.
As for wedding plans, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have not revealed any plans to take their relationship to the next level.
