Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise has seen its share of divorces over the years. Between all of the drama and the added pressures of having your private life exposed in public, marriages often fall prey to divorce. This is exactly what happened to Real Housewives of Orange County star Gina Kirschenheiter, who split with her husband, Matthew Kirschenheiter, after one season of the show. With her marriages in shambles, it’s unclear if Gina will be back on RHOC next season.
Gina’s fellow co-stars have been urging her reconsider the divorce, but she has been pretty firm on sticking with her decision. In a recent statement, Gina confessed that she started seeing holes in her marriage when she and Matthew moved to California.
Away from their families in Long Island, Gina came to the realization that she did not like being alone with Matthew and did not want to spend the rest of her life with him.
According to Bustle, Gina said that the split was amicable and that she still considers Matthew family. While Gina seems at peace with her decision, watching it play out on national television is another thing altogether.
In fact, Gina also admitted that she would have never appeared on RHOC if she had known her marriage was headed for divorce.

That said, Gina does not believe the show had anything to do with the breakup and believes it was only a matter of time before it happened.
Gina has not said anything about her future on the Real Housewives of Orange County. In light of the divorce, Gina is putting all of her energy into raising her three children, Nicholas, Sienna, and Luca. While she may not appear on the next season of the hit reality show, it sounds like Gina is ready for whatever comes her way.
