Ever since George Michael has passed away, his lover, Fadi Fawaz has been in the spotlight. Now, however, it looks like another former love of the singer has made an appearance in the media.
Kenny Goss and George Michael were in a long term relationship, dating from 1996 to 2009. Reportedly, Goss will be at Micheal’s memorial to pay his respects and he was in fact invited by Michael’s father Kyriacos Panayiotou.
Reportedly, the man reached out to Goss and asked him to be present at the funeral despite the Greek Catholic community not being okay with homosexuality.
“It is not acceptable in our community to be homosexual and so that was very hard for George’s father, but we accepted George as he was,” admitted a source.
“George was a hero for our community, and the Greek radio stations are expected to play the funeral in its entirety. We are all waiting for the word and we will be lining the streets to pay our respects.”
When Goss found out about Michael’s death he was devastated. “I’m heartbroken with the news that my dear friend and long time love George Michael has passed. He was a major part of my life and I loved him very, very much. He was an extremely kind and generous man.”
Supposedly, Goss played an important role in trying to help Michael before his death. According to an insider, before his tragic end, the former lover became aware that “George was smoking and drinking heavily” due to being “depressed about his weight.”
Weeks prior to his passing, Goss jumped on a plane just to be by his side. “He knew things weren’t right with George and he also came over to say goodbye,” explained a source.
The relationship with Fadi Fawaz however, seemed to have a lot of problems. The man even slept in his car, outside the singer’s house in the night previous to him finding Michael dead in his bed.
Were they fighting because of Goss?
