Gabrielle Union Likes Tweets Slamming Rapper Lil Boosie After He Goes On Transphobic Tirade
Dwyane Wade is opening up about becoming a father to a transgender child after revealing that Zaya Wade, formerly known as Zion, told him that she will now be going by she/her pronouns. The athlete and his wife Gabrielle Union have been receiving outpouring love and support but unfortunately, they've also been receiving unwanted opinions on how to raise their kids.
Rapper Lil Boosie took to Instagram to make a video urging Wade not to let the 12-year-old undergo gender reassignment surgery in a transphobic tirade.
'I gotta say something about this shit, bro. Dwyane Wade, you gone too f****** far, dawg. That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they don’t even know what they next meal gon' be. They don’t have s*** figured out yet. He might meet a woman, anything, at 16 and fall in love with her. But his d*** be gone—how he gon'—like, bruh, you going too far, dawg. Don’t cut his d*** off, bruh. Like, bruh, for real, if he gon' be gay, let him be gay. But don’t cut his d*** off, bruh. Don’t—and dress him as a woman, dawg. He’s 12 years old. He’s not up there yet. He hasn’t made his final decisions yet. Don’t cut his f***** d*** off, Dwyane Wade, bruh. You f****** trippin', dawg.'
This was met with mixed reactions. While some agree that 12 is too young to make a decision like that, others are questioning why Boosie is so concerned with the way Dwyane raises his child.
Additionally, Dwyane has yet to speak on if Zaya will undergo surgery any time soon.
Neither Wade nor Union has directly responded to the rapper but the actress did like a few telling tweets.
One read: 'I wish y’all would keep the lid closed on Boosie’s trash a** Instagram. It stinks in here every time someone opens it.'
Another stated: 'Neither D nor Gab have ever said Zaya is removing appendages. This is another FACT. Zaya isn’t even allowed to have social media yet. There are boundaries. Anything suggesting otherwise is another reach.'
Hopefully, their story is able to help other parents who may be going through the same thing.
