Do not ask Gabourey Sidibe any questions about her hair because she will not answer them. The Empire star took to social media where she unveiled her new sexy banging hairdo.
For the Christmas and New Year holidays, Miss Sidibe was sporting long black braids. Now that 2018 has began, she has ditched then for beautiful bangs.
She posted a picture where she is sitting on a chair wearing a lovely red dress. It appears that the talented activist has just finished getting her hair done.
In the photo, the author is laughing, and she used the caption to make something clear. She said do not ask her about her hair because it is all hers and that is all you need to know.
Many African-American women have made it known that they are rightfully annoyed by people who questioned the texture, the length, or color of their hair.
Most recently, Beyoncé’s younger sister, Solange, wrote an entire song devoted to the matter, and Lupita Nyong’o called out a magazine that decided to Photoshop her hair.
She wrote: “Yes, it’s all mine! How dare you?!”
Sidibe later added: “Ooooh! You couldn’t tell me NOTHIN bout my straight bangs! I had this same hairstyle for like three years straight! I had secrets to hide under that bang! Also I don’t remember who took this photo and for what magazine it went into, but I remember that after this photo shoot, I went to Yankee Stadium to see JayZ and Eminem in concert, I was in the front row, Dr. Dre waved at me and it was THE BEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR!!…. whatever year that was… I don’t know.”
She also had a lot to say about the weather. She shared: “It’s 19 degrees outside in Chicago and I have to leave my apt, but this one time, I was in Barbados, and the weather was warm and perfect.”
Fans love the look.
One of her many supporters shared: “You look so good Gabby. Do the damn thing gurllll.Hey SistaGirl!! I love your realness; I think you’re BEAUTIFUL Oh & we’re cousins in my head Peace & Blessings.”
Showed up at the gym on some Marshawn Lynch shit like “You know why I’m here.” Ps, I dead ass boxed today in my #Trayvon hoodie, with my headband, sunglasses and bun sitting up on top of my head as unbothered as any Black Queen on this fine MLK day. While boxing, I imagined punching white supremacy and oppression right in the damn face! ??????????✊?
“You go, girl, keep going gabby you can do it u motivate me!!!!Looking fantastic girlfriend!!She has the most contagious. I love the “BE GOLD” as you oversee that city full of possibilities. Be gold, stay gold. (And the bangs are banging.)GIRL, this is such an impromptu adorable, sexy, fun picture of you.
