After Ciara was bashed by single women everywhere, her baby daddy, Future, has now jumped in the scandal.
Over the weekend, the talented singer and renowned dancer found herself in hot water.
Ciara, who is currently enjoying a lavish vacation in Mexico with husband, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, became a trending topic on social media.
Women slammed her for posting a clip from one of Pastor John Gray’s sermons where he said that ladies should behave in a certain way to find a husband.
The 32-year-old diva from Texas captioned the video, “too many women want to be married, but you’re walking in the spirit of girlfriend.”
Here is what the man of God said: “You’re not a wife when I marry you; you’re a wife when I find you. … You become my wife when I marry you, but a wife is not the presence of a ring, it’s the presence of your character…. Carry yourself like you’re already taken, and I promise you, when you carry yourself like a wife, your husband will find you.”
Ciara responded to the backlash by writing: “I was once that girl wanting to be loved a certain way but was making the wrong choices. I found myself at my lowest moment. I was a single mom sitting at home, and I didn’t realize that the perfect love. I was looking for how God loves me, how he wants me to be love and how he was calling me to be as a mom and a woman. That is when I realized married or not married I.#LevelUp. Don’t Settle.”
Future hit back with: “Make sense on social media. Great Job.” Fans are now going after Future.
One of them wrote: “Future, you and Ciara share a child, that is all. It doesn’t look right for you to comment on a personal posting of hers. She was speaking from a loneliness single mom space. I mean she dated all those guys and didn’t get anywhere. Push that baby, got nowhere until she met Russell and her life changed. As women we need to know our worth and see beyond the norm, ladies we are more than just a baby momma or girlfriend you’re a wife in Gods eyes..#levelup.”
Another shared: “That man not salty at all. He doesn’t know anything about her real life since he ain’t been involved in it for four years. The mumbling rapper done called her every name in the book, tried to slander her. If he knew anything that he felt could make her look bad, he would have been told it, because he is bish made like that. Well, she shouldn’t get in his future in the first place.”
