This is such a sad day for the hip-hop community and for music in general. Chicago based rapper Fredo Santana has tragically died at the age of only 27. It was so unexpected and shocking, and now fans and fellow artists alike are mourning his loss.
In the wake of his passing, many stars also took to social media to pay tribute to the rapper who was taken so early away from the world.
As you may already know, Fredo is also the cousin of Chief Keef, 22.
Some of the big names who posted about the sad death are Travis Scott and Drake.
Drake shared with his followers a pic featuring him and the late Fredo, captioning it: ‘Rest in Peace Santana. Rip to my dawg.’
Travis Scott posted a photo of his own, captioning it: ‘Rest up easy love you bro.’
Although the cause of death is yet unclear, we know that the man did struggle with health issues.
Back in October, Santana shared with his loyal followers on Instagram that he was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with both kidney and liver failure.
‘I am getting back to normal, sorry to all of my fans turbo bandana will not be dropping tomorrow due to my health problems. I would not wish this on my worst enemy,’ he wrote.
We do not know if the health scare was what caused the rapper’s untimely death but considering organ failure is a really bad thing to go through, it seems likely.
What makes this even sadder is the fact that Santana left behind an infant son, by the name of Legend.
Rest in Peace Fredo Santana. You will be greatly missed.
