Stephanie Adams, the Playboy model from the November 1992 edition, passed away Friday, May 18th, after jumping off the top floor of the Gotham Hotel early in the morning. According to the New York Post, Adams, 47, committed suicide while holding her seven-year-old child.
Allegedly, Adams was fighting in the court system for custody of the boy. The police did not confirm if it was, in fact, her, but several news publications stated it was Adams who died.
Stephanie and her son checked into the hotel at 6 pm yesterday, and the NYPD said that a man who was outside the hotel heard two loud noises and looked to see what it was.
When he walked over, he found the scene of the supposed suicide. Before Vince and Adams passing, she was battling for possession of her son, in addition to requesting the right to take him to Spain for a short vacation.

Charles Nicolai, who had visitation rights, declined to grant her permission to go to the European country, as he speculated that she intended to stay there with her partner.
As a result of her loss in court, the judge ordered her to turn over her son’s passport. Reportedly, Adams called one of her friends and said all she wanted to do was go on a vacation with her boy and they wouldn’t let her.
The entire ordeal has been incredibly awe-inspiring, especially for her friends. Her family was shocked to find out about it and never thought for one second that she would do such a thing.
However, if the reports are true, Adams had a difficult life, as she was the first Playboy model to come out as a lesbian. She also fought against the NYPD. The former model received $1.2 million when the police threw her to the ground on false claims that she was in the possession of firearms.
