Former Counting On star Derick Dillard is still posting on social media, and for some reason, people are still paying attention. After TLC aired a commercial featuring Ellen DeGeneres in the middle of Counting On, Dillard took to Twitter to let his followers know he wasn’t happy.
“Loving the Ellen commercial in the middle of #countingon @derickmdillard @JessaSeewald @Jeremy_Vuolo @jillmdillard,” one of Dillard’s followers tweeted.
Dillard then replied, “Yeah hopefully it moves to UPtv soon.”

UPtv is the network that airs the show Bringing Up Bates, which is also about a religious family with 19 children. The Bates and Duggars have been good friends for years.
But Dillard didn’t stop there. His followers continued to bait him, with one asking which TLC show is most offensive to him — My Strange Addiction, I am Jazz, or Sex Sent Me to the ER. Dillard couldn’t help but respond to the question.
“I don’t watch any of them. I’m now aware of them, but I encourage others not to watch the filth on TLC… and other networks, but you brought up TLC shows,” wrote Dillard.
As In Touch Weekly points out, TLC fired Dillard last year after multiple transphobic and homophobic rants on Twitter. Specifically, he targeted Jazz Jennings, a transgender teen, and her show I am Jazz. Dillard called Jennings’ show an “oxymoron” because it was a reality show that followed a non-reality. He also said that “Transgender is a myth.”
In an attempt to prove that he had no problem with Jazz herself, he tried to clear things up by saying he had “nothing against him,” an obvious misuse of the proper pronoun. Dillard later wrote that he pitied Jennings because he believes her parents are taking advantage of her, and they shouldn’t allow a child to make those decisions.
Well well well. Derick Dillard should remember the phrase of what the pot called the kettle.
Who does Derick Dillard think he is.
Does he have medical knowledge whatsoever — NO. He proved he does not.
That damn hypocrite going to law school at who's expense. He enjoys hurting ? pic.twitter.com/JbgVmSrtlQ

After TLC fired Dillard, his wife Jill Duggar decided not to return to Counting On in an act of solidarity.
Not only does Dillard make offensive comments on social media, but he can also be extremely confusing. Recently, he wrote that he had a good week because he had his first midterm exam in law school and because he became “a naturalized uncle.”
People quickly started asking Dillard what a naturalized uncle was, and he responded that he was “related by blood.” But, that isn’t what naturalized means. It appears that he misused the word, and some people think it was a failed attempt at trying to be clever. But, instead, Derick Dillard ended up looking like an idiot.
New episodes of Counting On air Monday nights on TLC.
