Joanna Gaines is no stranger to having kids. The Fixer Upper star has had four children with her husband, Chip Gaines, over the years, but having another is not going to be a walk in the park. The home renovations star recently opened up about having her 5th baby with Chip and how this baby might be the hardest one yet.
According to Life & Style, Joanna admitted that this baby feels a lot like her first pregnancy. Joanna had her last child, Emmie Kay, 8 years ago when she was still in her early thirties.
Joanna will be 40 years old when she has the baby, though she and Chip couldn’t be happier about expanding the family. Of course, the couple’s other children – Drake, Ella, Duke, and Emma Kay – are just as excited about having another brother.
“The best thing about all of this is the excitement that my kids have shown for their new baby brother,’ Joanna recently shared. “They love my growing belly (and boy is it growing), and they cannot wait to meet him.”
The baby isn’t the only thing new in the Gaines’ household. Chip recently brought home a new puppy and kitten.
Joanna is also getting ready for the release of her new cookbook, Magnolia Table, which is set to hit stores on April 24.
The couple, whose original show, Fixer Upper, officially ended after 5 seasons and 78 episodes, are also getting ready to launch a new line of accessories and furniture for kids.
Joanna teased that the accessories will probably include baby items, especially since this is all that she can think about at the moment.
I can't believe tonight marks our very last episode of Fixer Upper. This picture is of us filming our pilot in 2012 and then our last scene of fixer in 2017. What a journey this has been! Check out my blog to read an update from us and to see what's on the horizon for our family and Magnolia as we move forward. The end is bittersweet, but we are excited for what's to come. Tune in tonight for the series finale on HGTV @ 9/8c! #fixerupper (link in profile)
When it comes to the couple’s Magnolia line of products, there is one item that won’t be changing in the near future. Although Chip and Joanna are going through a lot of changes, she still plans on offering her “Signature Magnolia Candle,” which she gets from a business based out of New York.
Although the pair quit Fixer Upper to spend more time at home with their growing family, they certainly have a lot on their plates in 2018.
Fortunately, Chip and Joanna Gaines have plenty of experience when it comes to juggling family life and professional development, so we have little doubt that they’ll figure things out.
