In a brand new and heartbreaking interview on Wendy Williams’ show, the singer opened up about her split from baby daddy Josh Duhamel. Despite the fact that at first, she was not very willing to tell all about her failed marriage, Fergie ended up sharing a lot about her sad divorce.
‘It was not my plan. I wanted to stay married forever,’ she started.
She went on to reminisce their love life, saying that they started going out back in 2004.
They dated for about five years and finally walked down the aisle at the beginning of 2009.
They first met at an event, and the actor asked his team to arrange a meeting by getting in touch with hers.
As Williams told the audience the story of Fergie and Josh’s early days, the performer got choked up.
‘I love Josh, he is the father of my child, we forever have that project together, and we are doing the best we can,’ Fergie said, trying her best to keep the tears in.
But when pics of their 3-year-old son Axl started being shown in the background, the star finally broke down, saying: You’re making me cry.’
Fergie and Josh took the decision to split up in February, about seven months before they finally announced their divorce.
‘With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year. To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family,’ Fergie released an official statement on September 14.
