Counting On stars Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo announced at the beginning of the year that they were expecting their first child, and now that the excitement has died down a bit, fans are trying to figure out the answer to a serious question about the couple. Are fertility issues to blame for their delayed pregnancy?
Unlike all of her married siblings – Josh, Jill, Jessa, Joy-Anna, and Joseph – Jinger didn’t announce a pregnancy within weeks of tying the knot. Instead, her announcement came more than a year after she married Jeremy.
In Touch Weekly is reporting that because of this, fans have flooded the comments section of their Instagram pregnancy post with a debate over whether or not the couple had trouble conceiving. Some followers congratulated them on their baby news and commended them on waiting to start their family. But others said that it was rude to bring that up because we don’t know if they had difficulty getting pregnant.
“The ridiculous pressure they have faced, and will undoubtedly continue to face, to have children cannot have been all that pleasant. What if they have trouble conceiving, or didn’t want kids?” one fan wrote.
One follower wrote that they were “glad” the couple waited, but another responded by saying we don’t know if this is the timeline they planned on, so it could be hurtful to comment about it.
Of course, Jinger’s reproductive health is her business, and the decision to have kids is between her and her husband. She doesn’t owe anyone an answer, and it’s not likely she will ever speak about this issue.
One thing the couple will talk about is how excited they are to become parents. In their announcement video, they shared that they couldn’t believe they were at this new stage in life.
They both believe that they are going to have a boy, but Jeremy revealed that he wouldn’t mind having a little “princess.” He added that he hopes their new baby will look, act, talk, and be like his wife.
Jinger says she hopes their little one is kind and gracious like her husband.
The couple also praised God for their “beautiful gift,” and they are praying for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
There are currently three Duggar babies coming in 2018. In addition to Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo, Joy-Anna and her husband Austin Forsyth are having their first baby next month. Also, Joseph and Kendra Duggar will welcome their first child this summer.
