Ezra Miller Shockingly Reveals He Went Through A #MeToo Experience With A Director And Producer While Underage!
The actor got candid about a traumatic experience he went through as a minor! Ezra Miller was featured in The Hollywood Reporter's Next Gen issue, and during the interview, he opened up about having a #MeToo type situation happen to him years ago.
Just like in the case of many of those who left their voices be heard as part of the movement, Ezra revealed that the perpetrators were men in positions of power - a producer and director
‘They gave me wine and I was underaged. They were like, 'Want to be in our movie about gay revolution?' I was like, 'No, you guys are monsters,’’ the 26-year-old shared with the outlet.
‘It's a great f**kin' age of being like, 'You know what? That s**t's unacceptable,' And it is amazing for a lot of us to watch. 'Cause we all knew it was unacceptable when we f***ing survived it. That is what Hollywood is. I thought we all knew that we were sex workers,’ the actor said.
He went on to stress that ‘Powerful men, they don't know how bad they want to submit to a woman, a feminine power, but they should.’
‘I advise they do it immediately because they're f**kin' up the world.’
Speaking of the #MeToo movement, Ezra’s take on it follows the one of Jessica Alba who has recently returned to the movie industry.
During an interview with People magazine, the actress explained how things are different today from before her break.
‘I’m getting back to acting because it is my first love and is part of my identity. Hollywood's different now from when I semi retired ten years ago. There is a new awareness of how important it is for women to be paid well and to be represented in front of as well as behind the camera. The #MeToo movement, for all the heartache and trauma it has churned up, enlightened people.’
