Tom Cruise apparently has the magic touch. As impossible as it sounds, the actor reportedly healed Val Kilmer’s cancer with just the touch of his finger. The actor allegedly summoned the power of Scientology to heal his Top Gun 2 co-star, who has been battling throat cancer for several years.
Eye witnesses claim that the healing incident happened while Cruise and Kilmer were working on the set of Top Gun 2. Witnesses say that Cruise used a special method known only to the highest members of Scientology called, “laying-on-of-hands.” Cruise is one of the more popular members of the church and apparently believes he can heal anything with the touch of his finger.

An inside source told Radar Online that Cruise has been waiting for the chance to use his magical healing powers on Kilmer for a long time. The Mission Impossible star is a high-ranking member of the Church of Scientology and currently carries the title of Thetan VI. Cruise started the technique by telling Kilmer to feel his finger.
“Tom ended the bizarre session by saying, ‘End of assist.’ And poof! Val started to feel a whole lot better,” the source dished, adding that Kilmer also believed that Cruise had performed a miracle.
Kilmer has been battling throat cancer for a number of years. After denying that he had the disease, the actor underwent surgery on his trachea to remove a tumor. The operation left Kilmer’s voice in shambles and forced him to wear scarfs in public to conceal the scar. Kilmer finally came clean about the cancer last year and admitted that he underwent chemotherapy.

What makes the encounter with Cruise even stranger is that Kilmer is a Christian Scientist. He believes in the power of prayer, but his theology differs wildly from Scientology. Even still, Kilmer allegedly felt as though Cruise’s touch made a difference and the entire incident brought them closer as friends.
Kilmer is returning to reprise his role as Iceman in Top Gun 2. The film is currently in production and Kilmer has been spotted on the set in San Diego. The former Batman star has been actively pushing to reprise his role since the sequel got the green light in 2016. This includes a few posts on social media of Kilmer wearing Iceman t-shirts.
Fans can see Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise together again when Top Gun 2: Maverick opens in theaters next summer.
