Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd is adjusting to life after her divorce from Michael Dodd, and apparently, she is making some big changes — including going under the knife for some post-divorce plastic surgery. Radar Online is reporting that after her 11-year-marriage ended, it looks like Dodd has had multiple procedures done.
Dr. Norman Rowe, who has not worked on Dodd, says that it appears the 42-year-old has had a liquid facelift, and that includes injecting fillers into her lips and cheeks. He says the procedure is quick and easy, but if it is overdone, it will make the patient look like they have had too much plastic surgery.
However, to get back that natural look, patients can have some fillers removed, and those that can’t will dissolve over time.
America’s Holistic Plastic Surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn agrees with Rowe, and says it is likely Dodd has had some fillers in her cheeks and lips to “plump them up.” He said it also looks like she has gotten Botox injections in her forehead.
“Judging from those photos, it also appears that Kelly’s had rhinoplasty to narrow and shorten her nose,” added Dr. Youn. “In addition, it appears that Kelly’s had multiple laser treatments to give her shiny, smooth skin. Overall, she looks great. Plastic, but great.”
Adam Schaffner, M.D., F.A.C.S., says that the differences in Dodd’s appearance could be due to lighting, camera angle, and makeup, but it does look like she has had some Botox, fillers, and treatments to improve her skin’s appearance.
In addition to possibly getting some plastic surgery, Dodd has also downsized from the mansion she shared with Michael to a two-bedroom home. She is doing well with the change, but it did take a toll on her 12-year-old daughter, Jolie.
Dodd says that they now live four houses down from the house that she built, and it was hard for Jolie because she would walk by the house that was her home, and then go into an old two-bedroom house.
The reality star says that Jolie has grown up with a lavish lifestyle — including friends who are “old money” and have yachts, planes, and $30 million homes — and it was not normal. So, since they have downgraded, Jolie hasn’t grown accustomed to it, and it is hard for her.
Dodd explained that Jolie has “no idea about money,” and wanted to go to a $1,000 a day ski school while they were in Aspen. So, now she is teaching her about finances in the real world, and she takes her and shows her what isn’t true, and what is real life.
“You need to learn to be appreciative. Not entitled. You need to work hard, and I completely try to change her thought process a lot,” Dodd told her daughter.
This season, fans will get the chance to see more of Kelly Dodd’s daughter, Jolie, since she will appear on more episodes of Real Housewives of Orange County, which air Monday nights on Bravo.
