Evangeline Lilly Reveals If She'd Star In A LOST Reboot
During a brand new interview, the actress opened up about starring in the Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp and how she was super excited to return to the Marvel Universe. And while we're totally looking forward to seeing her in the superhero movie set to be released in just a few days (July 6) Evangeline Lilly’s fame started on the beloved TV show Lost, and many are itching to see her reprising her role.
As you may be aware already, Lilly starred as Kate Austen, a fugitive, and was a big part of the castaway show for its entire six seasons duration.
Although it’s been many years since Lost came to a close, there are still diehard fans who are dreaming of a reboot.
How does the actress feel about reviving that fictional world? Apparently, she’s not that interested in returning.
ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey admitted earlier in the year that a Lost reboot is on a list of ‘Wouldn’t that be great if…?’ but that no concrete discussions have taken place to make that into a reality.
So would Evangeline Lilly be willing to portray Kate again if the opportunity arose?
‘There’s a rumor every year that they are going to reboot Lost. The thing about reboots and remakes is that I do not like them in general, period. I want people to leave Star Wars alone!'
'I did love Rogue One, as an aside. But for the most part, I do not usually love them. I feel like it is just tainting something that is precious. I have said I do not want to do things in the past and I have done them — so you know, never say never — but sitting where I am today, my assumption is no,’ the actress said. Sorry, guys! It looks like it's not going to happen.
