Eva Marcille is in the headlines once again, except this time, for defending the honor of a production she owes a lot too. As most fashion fans know, America’s Next Top Model is known for helping aspiring models get their very first step into the house of the fashion world.
Eva believes that ANTM is great for ushering models into what is usually their first big modeling contract. However, Winnie Harlow doesn’t necessarily believe that’s the case.
Harlow said previously that ANTM was a mere “reality TV show,” as opposed to a way of gaining respect in the modeling scene. Eva Marcille, who has won three cycles of the show, said that Winnie’s comments were very ungrateful.
This all goes back to when Harlow was interviewed by Andy Cohen on his show, Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, where she accused the production of not providing a legitimate platform for would-be models.

Winnie said the show doesn’t actually do anything for any woman’s career, “realistically.” Winne added that she considered America’s Next Top Model as a genuine step in the right direction, but really, it’s just a television show.
Harlow, during the 21st cycle of the series, didn’t get along with other women and was inevitably booted off in the second week of the finals. Due to her comments on Watch What Happens Live, a lot of people out there were mad she expressed such a lack of appreciation for the reality series.
“The world knows her, Drake knows her, Wiz Khalifa knows her because of America’s Next Top Model.” If Winnie isn’t careful, she may end up a lot like Katherine Heigl, who practically killed her own career through several unappreciative and critical comments.
As Hollywood fans know, Katherine was guilty of serious foot-in-mouth disease during her time on Grey’s Anatomy, when she was in the middle of receiving the nomination for an Emmy, she submitted a public statement essentially criticizing the production’s writers.
Heigl insinuated that the writing on Grey’s Anatomy “wasn’t good enough” and she didn’t want to tarnish the prestigiousness of the Academy. While her intentions were to be humble, it ended up being wildly insulting. Harlow better be careful or she may go the way of Katherine.
