When sitting down with the managing editor of Us Weekly, Brody Brown, Eva Marcille talked about those pesky rumors that she and Missy Elliot had dated. Eva explained Missy as a “non-confrontational” girl, and for that reason, she never told her the rumors would resurface on the show.
Despite her claim that she never spoke with Missy, following an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen where the rumors were talked about again, the America’s Next Top Model winner revealed she had reached out to Elliot.
Marcille explained she did speak with Missy about those old rumors and the singer/rapper sent her a “face-palm” emoji.
Eva claims she told Missy that she felt terrible because Missy would never have a chance to defend herself on the show unless she made an appearance, anyway. Essentially, it was like Eva’s other castmates were bringing in somebody who didn’t have the means to go on the defensive.
Moreover, Eva explained one of her biggest gripes with the whole rumor is the negative connotations of them; as if being gay is immoral. Would it be such a bad thing if she and Missy did date? Is homosexuality between two women wrong? Either way, Eva has other things on her plate as she’s a newcomer to The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.
The last time we heard from Marcille was during an interview with Us Weekly where she revealed she was “scared” of Kenya Moore and Kim Zolciak. The reality star said, “both of them scare me.”
The reality star also said that if either party came after her with rumors and attacks, “it wouldn’t be in their best interest;” clearly, a thinly veiled threat.
In other news, Eva came under attack from social media trolls for her defense of Russell Simmons, the creator of Def Jam Records who several women accused of sexual impropriety and even rape. In one instance, Russell and Brett Ratner were accused of raping a model over twenty years ago.
