Followers of Tom Girardi and Erika Jayne know they're currently fighting a number of tough legal battles. For instance, it was reported earlier in the year that another company, Edelson PC, a class-action firm, filed a suit against them on the behalf of plane crash victims.

The law firm has been accused of embezzling settlement funds that were supposed to go to victims of the Lion Air Flight 610. And what sparked the most controversy on social media was the lawsuit's claim that Girardi and Jayne's divorce was merely a way for them to avoid having to pay their debts.

In other words, Edelson PC said Girardi and Jayne conspired to hide their money, using a divorce as their means to do so. As it was previously reported, Jayne filed for divorce at the start of November after 21 years of marriage.
