Emma Stone sat down with fellow actress Jennifer Lawrence for Elle magazine’s latest issue, and she opened up about many things in her life including her struggle with anxiety, friendship and even her wish to become a mother.
She started by making it very clear that she and Lawrence are very good friends and she loves how the Hunger Games actress can laugh at everything, making her a very fun person to be around.
She went on to say that ‘I think friendship is pretty much everything. Here’s another turning-30 thing I’ve realized: You pick your family. You realize that your friendships, the people who go with you into these next phases of your life—you’re choosing your family.’
Now that her thirties are right around the corner, Stone revealed she is able to look back on her twenties with different eyes.
‘My twenties were an interesting time, and there has been a lot that’s happened in these past ten years, both positive and not so positive. It is weird how much turning 30 crystallizes your life. Instead of just living the dreams I had in my youth and getting to do the job I love to do and making friends and going through all of that, it’s like, Now what do I actively want as an adult?’
That being said, while Stone is still waiting for the right time, she is confident that at some point, she wants to get married and have kids.
‘My perspective about kids has changed as I have gotten older. I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, ‘I’m never getting married, I am never having kids.’ And then I got older, and I was like, ‘I really want to get married, I really want to have kids.’ It is less thinking about the next ten years and what needs to happen and just relaxing into what will be and not trying to control the outcome.’
Do you think Emma Stone would be a good mom?
