As you might have heard, Elliot Page has come out as transgender and while he’s been getting a lot of support from fellow A-listers and followers, some social media users have also been wondering whether or not this will change in any way the casting for the third season of The Umbrella Academy ! Well, as it turns out, Page will continue to portray Vanya Hargreeves on the Netflix show!

Not only that but it appears that like the actor’s name has already been changed to Elliot Page on the superhero series’ IMDB!

Furthermore, it will also be updated on Netflix in all the projects that he is featured in on the platform, as per ET.

Netflix mentioned that they are in the process of making that change and the credits should read Elliot Page very soon!

This comes after Elliot, previously known by their birth name as Ellen Page, revealed in a lengthy letter that he identifies as a male.

Page made it very clear from the beginning that ‘I am trans, pronouns are he/they and my name's Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To have arrived to this place in my life. I feel gratitude for the incredible people who've supported me throughout this journey. I cannot even begin to express how it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self.’

‘I've been endlessly inspired by many in the trans community. Thank you for your courage, generosity and ceaselessly working to make this world a more inclusive and more compassionate place. I'll offer whatever support I can and continue to strive for a more loving and equal society,’ he wrote.
