Sen. Elizabeth Warren not only endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden, but she would gladly accept to be his running mate.

The 2020 presidential race is in full swing now that Biden has clinched the nomination, and he is searching for a VP who can get him votes and take on President Donald Trump.

This week, the Democrat from the state of Massachusetts did an interview where she said that if Biden asked her to be his running mate, she would happily take the high-profile post.

Talking to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Warren confessed that she would say yes to Biden. The comments come just hours after Warren officially endorsed Biden for president.

She praised her former primary opponent in a video and she explained: "Biden is very different; he is the kind of man who has human empathy. He's a man who has a good heart, and that's what we need in a leader — someone who is steady, who is prepared, but ultimately who cares not just about himself, but cares about everyone. That is what's going to get us through this crisis, that is what's going to help us rebuild this country."

Warren went on to say: "Empathy matters. And, in this moment of crisis, it's more important than ever that the next president restores Americans' faith in good, effective government. In this moment of crisis, it's more important than ever that the next president restores Americans' faith in good, effective government. Joe Biden has spent nearly his entire life in public service. He knows that a government-run with integrity, competence, and heart will save lives and save livelihoods."

She added: "And we can't afford to let Donald Trump continue to endanger the lives and livelihoods of every American. When you disagree, he'll listen -- not just listen, but really hear you. And treat you with respect, no matter where you're coming from. And he has shown throughout this campaign that when you come up with new facts or a good argument, he's not too afraid or too proud to be persuaded."

Warren also claimed: "That's why I'm proud to endorse Joe Biden as president of the United States."

Senator Bernie Sanders and former President Barack Obama have all endorsed Biden.

Senator Kamala Harris and former gubernatorial candidate from Georgia Stacey Abrams are all in the running for the VP spot.
