Ed Westwick, the Gossip Girl alum, allegedly was spotted on the celebrity dating application, Raya, just a couple of days after his girlfriend Jessica gushed about him on social media. In a report from The Sun, Ed’s profile describes him as being from London, England, and featured a series of images and a link to his Instagram profile.
Raya features a private membership model, unlike Tinder, and it exclusively focuses on celebrities and other prolific figures. Last week. Ed’s girlfriend shared a picture of the actor sitting across from her at a table while they had dinner.
She wrote, “Happy birthday to the kind-hearted,” and also said they “don’t make them like they used to.” Jessica has stood by Ed ever since he lost his program on BBC following the rape allegations from two different women, as well as sexual assault allegations made by another.
As a result of the claims, BBC canceled his drama, Ordeal By Innocence, based on an Agatha Christie story. At the time of the charges, the BBC stated that they had to cancel it until the “matters” had been resolved.
The allegations came a part of the #MeToo movement that began in the remaining months of 2017. Several women accused Ed of being sexually aggressive, with one stating that Ed outright pulled her clothing off and raped her against her will.
Another woman alleged that the Gossip Girl alum pushed her up against a wall before an award’s ceremony while her boyfriend was in another room. The woman stated she told her boyfriend about it, but he merely laughed it off.
Furthermore, the police announced they were investigating Mr. Westwick but since then, there haven’t been any official reports, and charges haven’t been laid either.
The same can’t be said for Mr. Weinstein, who is currently waiting for his trial to determine if he’s innocent or guilty of rape and sexual assault. Mr. Weinstein surrendered himself to the New York Police Department after they announced the charges.
