Do not mess with Dwyane Wade; otherwise, his entire family will come after you, and Paul Pierce is learning that the hard way.

On Friday, Pierce, who loves a controversy, did just that by throwing Wade under the bus to uplift himself. Saturday morning, Wade’s wife, Gabrielle Union, decided to school him on how to be gracious and have humility.

The NBA Countdown team had asked Pierce who had the better career between himself and Mr. Wade and he responded by: “If I was 24 years old, you give me Shaq, when I’m 24-25, you give me LeBron and Bosh, I’d be sitting on five or six championships, easy.”

Wade responded by posting a note from Jared Dudley who questioned the former Celtics' player state of mind: "Cocaine is helleva drug. Both has great careers, but Dwade is 3rd best SG of all-time." Wade added: "You said it better than I could."

Union said the following: "This @paulpierce34 thing is wrong on many obvious levels but what I find most troublesome is this idea of a man trying to diminish another man that looks like him was raised like him, in order to shine a tad brighter. Sh*t isnt entertaining, it's sad. ❤ & 💡good people."

She concluded by: "We do not have to buy into the notion that there is only so much love, attention, resources, opportunities, respect to go around. This scarcity mindset is a trap. It keeps us all fighting amongst ourselves. Reject that [email protected]"

The Miami Heat player announced that he is going to therapy after his retirement and fans are applauding him.

One supporter wrote: "Kudos to the Wades for sharing this most important part of their lives. You are going to help so many families with your openness and honesty. All the best!"

Another person claimed: "I’m so happy to hear Dwayne Wade talk about therapy. So many black males are afraid to talk about this issue. Thank you for sharing this!!!❤👏👍🏽

This fan told the power couple: "I hope a lot of men follow that. Awesome for you. This changes to game for African American brothers and people in general. I love you 2 guys my congratulations on the new baby she is adorable. Listen, by admitting that you need therapy to readjust and refocus your life goals is commendable. I applaud you for your willingness and transparency. Get you a girl who looks at you the way @gabunion looks at @dwyanewade.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏You will always be in my prayers."

Union really has her husband's back.
