Dwayne Johnson Has Been Documenting His 'Cheat Meals' On Instagram And They Are Amazing
It’s no secret that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson knows how to put in the work at the gym and eat his exact macros to get in shape for his movie roles . He takes his fitness seriously, but the same can be said about how Johnson handles his “cheat days.”
The Jumanji: The Next Level star usually reserves Sundays as the one day each week where he forgets about eating healthy and allows himself to indulge. According to a 2015 Men’s Fitness article, on Monday through Saturday Johnson eats seven meals each day that are loaded up with lean proteins, veggies, and healthy grains.
But, according to Johnson’s Instagram page, he skips the calorie and macro counting on Sundays and cheats with meals that feature stacks of pancakes and french toast, insane amounts of sushi, plates full of cookies and brownies, and juicy cheeseburgers.
Johnson has been documenting his cheat meals regularly for his 189 million Instagram followers over the past few years, and the pictures keep getting more and more amazing. Over the 4th of July holiday weekend, the Ballers star had his cheat day a little early and he posted a video to give fans a glimpse at what was on his plate.
Johnson cheated on Saturday with two huge pieces of french toast topped with peanut butter, jelly, and maple syrup infused with Johnson’s Teremana tequila, plus a big slice of cheesecake.
"I’m jumpin’ headfirst into my sugar & tequila holiday weekend 🤣🍰🥃. Considering the year 2020 has already been for us - we’ve earned ourselves some decadent satisfaction,” wrote Johnson in the caption. “This holiday weekend, EVERYday will be my cheat day 🤣🤦🏽♂️Enjoy your families, fireworks & cheat meals, my friends. Salud’ 🥃🍰💥 #dontcheatyourself #treatyourself #nomnomnom.”
The Baywatch star has a big love for breakfast food, and back in May he posted another pic of four-inch thick Brioche french toast with the same toppings, plus some whipped cream infused with citrus. Johnson called that meal “an all timer,” and said that he was “taking delicious to the next level.”
He also added a plate of spaghetti to his late May cheat day, along with some tequila. Johnson has treated himself to a lot of french toast during his quarantine cheat meals, but back in February he added a huge cheeseburger and fries to his favorite dish to make it a “cheat day for the ages.”
Dwayne Johnson has also shared cheat days that featured five pints of Salt & Straw ice cream. At Christmastime he shared a pick that included the flavors spiced eggnog, cinnamon chai, gingerbread cookie dough, and custom flavors. After Thanksgiving, Johnson indulged on double-dough pizza.
