By the looks of things, Michelle Obama is seriously ruffling the feathers of Melania Trump’s high-end coats.
Barack Obama’s wife, who is currently promoting her memoir, Becoming, sat down with Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts for a juicy interview.
Michelle confessed that she offered Donald Trump’s wife her help, the former model declined and never reached out to her.
Robin asked Michelle if Melania contacted her since moving into the White House; she stated: “No, she hasn’t.”
The Democrat was asked if Melania was doing a good job and she opted for a diplomatic answer by saying: “You know, one of the things you learn as a former, it’s, like, I don’t judge, what a current is doin’, you know? So I’d prefer not to, you know, speak on what she’s doing versus what I did because I think every first lady approaches this job differently.”
However, Michelle did not mince her words when she was asked to share her thoughts on Melania’s claim that she is the most bullied person on this planet.
Michelle revealed: “I can’t. I wrote about the fact that how I learned not to take myself so seriously in this role. I would meet military families, and spend time on bases. I would see the sacrifice that these families would make and the hardships that they would bare because they would have a loved one serving and dying and putting their life at risk. I admired them, and it made me feel like, ‘let me not complain out loud about anything that is happening to me.’”
It is being reported that Barron’s mother was not pleased by the comment.
A source told Hollywood Life: “Melania thinks it’s really sad that Michelle felt the need to diss her over her bullying comments, but at the same time, she believes it was inevitable. The Obamas had always been very kind to her, but Donald had told her she could never really trust them and that they really weren’t her friends, and it would only be a matter of time before they showed her their true colors.”
The person added: “Melania feels Michelle and Barack had a much easier time when they were in office, as the media were always writing gushing reports about everything they did, but with Donald’s administration it is the exact opposite.”
Michelle’s highly anticipated memoir, Becoming, will be available on November 13.
