Hours after the song in which he called Kylie Jenner a ‘side piece’ was shared on social media causing some backlash, Drake returned to his platform to apologize. He explained that the track was not supposed to be played on his Instagram Live session last night and stressed that he would not want to hurt any of his friends.
As you might know, the lyrics managed to further fuel the romance rumors going around for months.
At the same time, some fans were rightfully upset that he would call Kylie a side piece and not just that but also one of the many like her that he has!
‘Yeah, ’m a hater to society / Real s*it, Kylie Jenner that’s a side piece / Yeah, I got 20 motherf***in’ Kylies,’ he raps in the song leaked on live IG.
Now, he is apologizing for having ‘disrespected’ his ‘friends’ in the unreleased collab with Future.
On his Instagram Stories, Drake explained, hours after the lyrics made headlines, that: ‘A song Mark ran last night on night owl live set should not have been played. It is a song that leaked three years ago which got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the Drake / Future catalogue. Last thing I would want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I had to say that to start the day.’

As for the reason why he was talking plural, it’s that he also mentioned supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner later on in the same song.
‘Yeah, I got 20 damn Kendalls / Young slim baddies and they in vogue / Yeah, I got 20 f***in’ Gigis,’ he goes on to rap.
At this point in time, Kylie, Kendall and Gigi have not addressed the lyrics publicly so it’s not clear how they feel about it.
