According to Michael Moore, Donald Trump running for the top position in the White House was motivated by sheer envy and pettiness. The Bowling For Columbine director claims Trump was so unpleased to find out she earned more money than him for The Voice than he did for The Apprentice, that he abandoned the show for the presidency.
Michael Moore genuinely believes that Donald ran for the presidency because of Gwen Stefani, despite the fact Donald admitted in past interviews from over twenty years ago that he considered running for the position.
The director believes that the current president ran for the presidency as a means of securing a certain status so that he could then negotiate more money from NBC.
Shortly before the premiere of his latest documentary, Fahrenheit 11/9, Michael sat down with reporters from The Hollywood Reporter where he introduced his theory.
According to Moore, Trump discovered Gwen was going to get $10 million for The Voice, during the time when Donald was negotiating a contract with NBC.
On the 16th of June, 2015, Trump announced his intention to run for the presidency and no one believed it. In other words, Moore believes that Trump ran for public office all as a marketing and maneuvering tactic for a better deal.
Moore admitted he had been considering the run for the “president since 1988, but he didn’t really want” to do it, in actuality. The Oscar winner explained that Trump’s plan simply “went off the rails.”
During his campaign, Donald Trump criticized illegal immigration, stating that Mexico wasn’t “sending their best,” and that they were “sending crime,””rapists,” while some, he claims, were “probably good people.”
Since Trump actually won, he has easily become the most contentious president of the last fifty years, even more so than the derided George W. Bush following his invasion of Iraq.
