President Donald Trump is grabbing headlines again -- this time around, POTUS has claimed that he does not want the hundreds of survivors of Hurricane Dorian from the Bahamas to enter the US because the archipelago is full of “very bad gang members.”

Hurricane Dorian's death toll in the Bahamas has climbed to 50 with many more missing. It has been reported that some 70,000 people have been left homeless.

Less than 24 hours after Bahamians were offered to escape the destroyed island via a boat from Freeport to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, they were turned away if they did not have a US visa.

Trump did an interview and said this about the humanitarian crisis: “We have to be very careful. Everyone needs totally proper documentation. I don’t want to allow people who weren’t supposed to be in the Bahamas to come into the United States, including some very bad people.”

POTUS added: “Look, the Bahamas had some tremendous problems with people going to the Bahamas that weren’t supposed to be there. Some very bad people and some very bad gang members and some very, very bad drug dealers”.

One person had this reaction to the news: "They live at/below ground level....... their houses got destroyed..... their families are missing..... jobs and schools lost... their life is on pause unless they move. Do you really think these people were worried about saving pieces of paper so they can leave? I’m sure they were worried about not getting killed by dangerous winds, and not drowning from rising sea levels Donald!"

A second commenter shared: "I hate him! They are victims of a tragic situation who open their country to American all year long. Yet he is acting like they are coming here for vacation. FOH"

This voter explained: "Buddy... you have HOMEGROWN terrorists in your own country that you should be VERY concerned about considering the endless amount of mass shootings that feel like an everyday occurrence 🥴"

Another social media user slammed the controversial president and wrote: "This is disgusting, these people have been through a traumatic situation, and this is what he musters up to say!!! It’s always the colored ones that “could be very bad people”. I pray for the victims of Hurricane Dorian as I KNEW this president wouldn’t have been very welcoming!! Presidents before him would of invited them to seek refuge here!"

Is this a move geared towards the 2020 election?
