The current president took to social media to slam NBC journalist Chuck Todd in an insane rant on his Twitter account! As it turns out, Donald Trump thinks he should be fired for his recent mistake.
It all started after airing incomplete footage of AG William Barr that led to a misunderstanding as to what he was actually saying regarding dropping the charges against Michael Flynn.
In the meantime, Todd has already apologized.
However, the Donald is still not happy! He wants the Meet The Press host to lose his job over using an incomplete quote from Attorney General William Barr!
At the time, the host was criticizing the Department of Justice over dropping the charges against ex National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn.
That being said, Trump took to his favorite social media platform, Twitter, to slam him, writing: ‘Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd should be FIRED by “Concast” (NBC) for this fraud. He knew exactly what he was doing. Public Airwaves = Fake News!’
Furthermore, Barr’s spokesperson, Kerri Kupec has also slammed MSNBC and Todd, by sharing transcripts that proved the program had left out an important answer from the former attorney general that he gave in a CBS interview.
As for the incomplete clip featured on Todd’s show, he is asked: ‘When history looks back on this particular decision, how do you think that it will be written?’ and he responds with: ‘Well, history’s written by the winners. So, it largely depends on who is writing the history,’ the vid cutting off there.
However, in reality, his answer was more complex, Barr going on to also say: ‘But I think that a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of the law. It helped and upheld the standards of the Department of Justice and it also undid what was an injustice.’
