President Donald Trump took to his platform on Twitter on Tuesday to address the terrorist attack in Lower Manhattan today where eight people died, and over twelve suffered injuries. In his tweet, he proclaimed that it “looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged person.”
He added “law enforcement is following this closely” and this kind of behavior is not accepted in the USA. Not long after, Trump wrote we must not allow ISIS to return.
In NYC, looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged person. Law enforcement is following this closely. NOT IN THE U.S.A.!

Additionally, the POTUS said his thoughts, condolences, and prayers are with the victims of the terror attack and with their friends, family, and acquaintances.
According to a report, Sarah Huckabee Sanders – who serves as the White House Press Secretary – said officials are updating the president on the matter as more details come to the surface.
The FLOTUS, Melania Trump, as well as the Senator from Vermont, Bernie Sanders, tweeted out messages of prayers and condolences to those affected by the incident where a truck drove into a school bus and ran people down on a path.
In a report from the NYPD, police took the person into custody, and no suspects are outstanding at this time. Furthermore, officials are investigating the matter and consider it to be a “terror attack.”
The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, said during a press conference that “there is no evidence at this point to suggest a wider plot or a wider scheme.” He added that it was the actions of a lone individual who wanted to cause pain and suffering. However, in a tweet, Trump insinuated there could be a possible ISIS connection.
