The current president has once again said something that led to fans laughing at him on social media! This time around, Donald Trump mixed up two huge but very different prizes – the Pulitzer and the Nobel Prize!
This comes after he suggested, not too long ago, that people should inject household disinfectants such as bleach into their bodies to kill COVID-19, after hearing how efficient they can be in killing the virus off of surfaces.
This time around, not only did he mix up the two prestigious prizes but also misspelled the name!
It all started with a series of posts on Twitter in which the POTUS urged reporters who’d gotten ‘Noble Prizes’ for their work in the stories about his supposed Russia involvement to go ahead and return the trophies.
Of course, as you can see, he misspelled the name of the ‘Nobel Prize’ but he also obviously mistook it for something a journalist would be able to win since there is no actual Nobel prize for journalism.
People who reacted to his newest mistake on social media, did point out that the Donald most likely was referring to the Pulitzer Prize instead, since they do reward journalists as well.
And sure enough, reporters from both Washington Post and The New York Times have received Pulitzer prizes for their investigation of Russia’s involvement in Donald Trump’s election.
‘When will all of the ‘reporters’ who have received Noble Prizes for their work on Russia, Russia, Russia, only to have been proven totally wrong (and, in fact, it was the other side who committed the crimes), be turning back their cherished ‘Nobles’ so that they can be given. …to the REAL REPORTERS and JOURNALISTS who got it right,’ Trump started his rant.
He went on to also tweet that ‘I can give the Committee a very comprehensive list. When will the Noble Committee DEMAND the Prizes back, especially since they were gotten under fraud? The reporters and Lamestream Media knew the truth all along. He also added that ‘lawsuits’ should be brought against ‘Fake News Organizations.’
