Director Sean Penn reached in Lviv
The American celebrity actively supports Ukraine.
61-year-old American actor and film director Sean Penn arrived in Lviv with the team of the CORE charity organization.
The philanthropists have already met with the politician and head of the Lviv regional administration, Maxim Kozitsky. As is known, they discussed the implementation of the program to help Ukrainian refugees.
"Today, I was in Lviv, together with the CORE team, developing a strategy with local authorities and non-governmental organizations to expand our programs in the country. A wonderful meeting with Governor Maxim Kozitsky," the filmmaker noted in his post, adding a link for those wishing to donate funds for his charitable organization, CORE, which actively helps Ukrainians affected by the war.
Earlier, Focus wrote about the demand of the Oscar-winning director and ex-husband of Madonna Sean Penn to show the address of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky's speech at the Oscar-2022 film award ceremony. According to the celebrity, if this does not happen, he will melt his Oscar figurines. As you know, Zelensky's video was not shown at the ceremony itself, but film academics received the footage and organized a minute of silence for those killed in Ukraine and showed footage of the destroyed Ukrainian cities.
Recall that Sean Penn visited the Ukrainian Donbass in the fall of 2021 to collect materials for his future film about the war in Ukraine.
