Did Duggar Family Rebel Amy Duggar Just Reveal That She Is Having A Baby Girl?
On Easter Sunday, former 19 Kids & Counting star Amy Duggar announced that she and her husband, Dillon King, were expecting their first child. And now, the 32-year-old is already dropping hints on social media about the baby’s gender.
“BABY KING IS ON THE WAY!!! Happy Easter from our growing family to yours!!” Duggar wrote in the caption of an Instagram post that featured a pic of her and King holding up giant rose gold letter balloons spelling the word “baby” while they stood in a field covered in Easter eggs.
Duggar is due in October, and she hasn’t yet revealed if she is having a boy or a girl. But, when the mom-to-be posted a picture of light pink cat sandals that her mom Deanna gave to her as a gift, Duggar seemingly dropped a major hint.
“Well, my mom thinks it’s a girl! So much that she bought these for baby king,” Duggar wrote.
Cousin Amy is the fourth Duggar to announce a pregnancy this year. In January, Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald told Counting On fans that they were expecting their fourth child. In early April, Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell announced that baby number two was on the way. And, just last week, Josh Duggar and his wife, Anna, revealed that they were expecting baby number six.
Amy – who is Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s niece – told People Magazine that she and her husband are “completely speechless” and “overly excited” about becoming parents. And, they can’t hardly wait for the next chapter in their lives.
Counting On fans have always known Amy to be a rebel in the family. Unlike her cousins, Amy wasn’t raised with extremely strict rules, so she often showed up on 19 Kids & Counting wearing pants. Deanna is Jim Bob’s sister, and in addition to the more relaxed dress code, she also allowed Amy to date and kiss boys before she got married.
After 19 Kids & Counting came to an end in 2015, and Amy starred in her special A Duggar Leaves Home, that documented her attempt to become a country music singer, Amy left the spotlight and started to live a more private life.
She married King in September 2015, and things seemed to be going well until the couple showed up on the WE TV series Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. However, they were able to work things out, and she continues to have a good relationship with her aunt, uncle, and cousins, despite reports to the contrary.
Now, Amy Duggar owns her own Bible-themed clothing boutique, and she also works as a youth mentor, while King is the CEO of Kingston Media.
New episodes of Counting On will return to TLC later this year.
