According to the rapper Desiigner, who found success under Kanye West’s direction, he was booted off a plane in Europe after a flight attendant supposedly touched him. Now, he’s asking for his fans and followers to boycott the airline, claiming that it was a by-product of racism.
The New York City native posted a series of videos on Tuesday, where he claimed that a flight attendant on the Scandinavian Airlines touched him inappropriately, and he subsequently got mad, so they threw him off the flight after he confronted her.
Moreover, the rapper claims, SAS kicked him off of their airplanes for a full year. As a result, Desiigner wants his fans to not go on the airline ever again.
In a statement, a SAS representative confirmed they had to remove an unknown passenger from their flight due to threatening behavior. The company said they don’t tolerate violent or aggressive behavior, and for that reason, they barred him for one year.
Desiigner isn’t the only celebrity to receive the boot off of an airplane. Migos faced a similar situation, as did Gretchen Wilson, who later faced charges as a result of her actions.
Allegedly, Wilson had been drinking and became unruly with one of the passengers on board. When the plane finally landed, the authorities were waiting for her and she was booked into the station.
Connecticut authorities arrested Gretchen for breach of peace, and she was subsequently released on a $1000 bond. Gretchen released her song, “Redneck Woman,” in 2004, but since then, her hit songs have been few and far between.
If there’s one thing to learn, it’s that an airplane is probably the worst place to have an outburst, considering the tense atmosphere ever since the 9/11 attacks in 2001.
